Ways to give

Purpose: Provide resources needed to run a learning centre of up to 20 children in a village.

Your donation: Covers cost of classroom material for all children. Offsets salaries of staff in charge of the learning centre. Covers classroom resources shared by all children.

You will receive: Names and ages of the beneficiary children. A letter of thanks from the learning centre. Two term reports outlining children's progress. Invitation to visit the learning centre in person.

Purpose: A library is set up in each village having a learning centre, to cater children's story books and novels with access to these for anyone from the village for free.

Your donation: Covers the cost of maintaining the library, including new acquisitions.

You will receive: A catalog of the library resources, new acquisitions funded by the donation and a year-end summary of patronage and suggestions for new resources.

Purpose: A Village Centre consists of up to three Learning Centers and a Library.

Your donation: Will help fund the Learning Centers and the Library.

You will receive: Names and ages of the beneficiary children in the Learning Centers. A letter of thanks and two term reports from the Learning Centers. Two term reports outlining children's progress. Invitation to visit the village centre in person.

Purpose: Easy Learning English (ELE) aims to make learning English as a second language more fun by negating the fear of learning a new language. Children learn to read, write and comprehend English.

Your donation: Covers the cost of learning material for one child. Offsets the salary of the staff (Akka) in charge. Offsets classroom resources shared by all children.

You will receive: Name and age of the beneficiary child. A letter of thanks from the Akka/student. Two term reports outlining progress made by the child.

Purpose: Easy Learning English (ELE) aims to make learning English as a second language more fun by negating the fear of learning a new language. Children learn to read, write and comprehend English.

Your donation: Covers the cost of learning materials for about 25 children. Covers the salary of the staff (Akka) in charge of the class. Offsets classroom resources shared by all children.

You will receive: Names and ages of the children in the class. A letter of thanks from the children/Akka. Two term reports outlining progress made by the children.

Purpose: Vidyarambam Trust runs a Nursery & Primary School in Nagapattinam in partnership with Rotary Club of Madras Central and Tamil Nadu Government, formed in the aftermath of the 2004 Tsunami that left hundreds of local children orphaned.

Your donation: Will support the educational needs of one student in the RV School in Nagapattinam.

You will receive: Name and age of the beneficiary child. A letter of thanks from the child and their teacher. Two term reports outlining progress made by the child. Upon request, a visit to the RV School.

Purpose: Vidyarambam Trust operates a mobile Toy Van that shuttles from village to village with educational and scientific toys and games to provide a joyful, hands-on learning experience for rural children.

Your donation: Will underwrite the cost of operation and upkeep of the van for a month.

You will receive: Pictures of the van and the children that benefit from its visit to one of the villages.

Purpose: Vidyarambam has wide range of financial needs, such as the salaries of its central administration staff, not covered by the specific categories of support noted above.

Your donation: Will help fill those needs (a minimum donation of $100 is recommended).

You will receive: A summary of how your donation is earmarked to be spent. An invitation to visit the VT central office in Chennai. An invitation to tour a local learning centre.
